There are dozens of shots that need various bits of work done to them. The more help we get, the faster they get done. Makes sense.

I found out today that there are one or two little rumors floating around about Hellphone.
I find that very encouraging, even though one of the rumors is that we are out of money and not going to finish.
Rumors mean people care and are talking about the movie. In a roundabout way, but still, it’s talking.
For the record – we are not not going to finish, regardless of whether or not money exists or not.

Hope that clears things up.

first day of pickups done!

We had a very productive shoot this evening. We got some new scenes with Chief Casey (Larry Parks) and re-did some shots with Charlie (Mack McClain).
Along to help Stephen and I were Yanni, Brett, Marie, Mickey and Judy.
I’m very excited to add these shots into the movie!

More pics will be added to Facebook, but here’s one that shows me concentrating really hard. Or I had something in my teeth. Hard to say.

still writing

I enjoy writing, most of the time. But I was very glad when we started shooting last summer, because it meant that I could stop writing the script.
Except that it didn’t mean that, because I had to keep tweaking things the whole shoot.
So I was extra glad when we finished shooting, because it meant I could stop writing. Except that now we are adding scenes. That I had to write.
Probably it’ll be safe for me to think I’m finished once the DVDs are printing up. I hope.

We are gearing up for day 1 of 3 of pick up shots.
This Sunday we are getting some new scenes with Chief Casey shot. I’m looking forward to working with Larry again, and shooting with the awesome crew we have.

PS. If you can get out to see it, “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus” is worth seeing in a theater.
